Blue Man Group

I have to say, I don't see what the appeal is. I went yesterday to one of their shows, and it seemed like it was a couple retarded guys who bang on things.

These guys are talented; I'm not denying that. But they act so culturally inept that I don't understand what's going on.

I like so-called "stupid movies", where the characters act like oafs and the jokes can be immature. But at least the people in those movies don't have a level of naivete akin to a newborn baby. I guess I'm a fan of stupid humor, just not stupid people.

Edit: I didn't even mention the part where they get all preachy about information overload, all the while bombarding you with poster images and light up displays. Why couldn't the show be what I thought it would be: 3 guys in blue paint banging on upside down trash cans and splashing paint everywhere? I don't need your "message"; if I wanted to pay to hear some overhyped problem in the world then I would rent An Inconvenient Truth.

Those guys creep me out. Painting yourself blue is just yukky. I feel itchy just thinking about it.

They do neat stuff. But eww on the blue paint.

You have verbalized a feeling I have had, a hard to pin down feeling. What in the world are these guys doing and why does someone, anyone care. There are many bizarre and unique acts that leave you feeling awe, inspired, happy, whatever, these blue guys just make me think of drowning victims. If I wanna see a cool blue guy I'll check out Grimace or Braveheart. Alan
